What is different in JN.1, the new variant of Kovid-19?
Most sub-variants of Kovid-19 have developed from Omikron Strain. The most common variant behind the increase in current affairs is JN.1 Strain. According to Yale Medicine, JN.1 variant is very similar to Ba.2.86 which comes from the Omikron family. One of the main differences between these two is that JN.1 does a specific mutation in its spike protein. Initial research suggests that it can increase its ability to dodge the immunity system. JN.1 was first identified in August 2023.
According to the report, it has about 30 mutations that enable it to bypass the body’s immunity system. Experts at Yale Medicine say that the mutation of JN.1 variants can increase it compared to the earlier variants.

JN.1 How to avoid variants?
